July 13th 2026 Update
Update
Tomorrow (14th July 2026) is the first allotment judging for all the sites in and around Cheltenham since Covid, so good luck to all who have been nominated.
Carrots, and Lettuce are still doing well,
Dahlias are in full bloom and ready for flower bouquets in the house.
Tomatoes and the white pumkins are still in progress.
The back bays are now finished and ready for planting. This bay will be for permanent plants next year, such as asparagus and grapes. Also the compost bin is now finished. This bin is different than most compost bins. The front of the bin has six panels which can be unbuckled and removed when required. The top lid has two parts the front is hinged and opens as normal the back part of the lid can be removed completely.
The back of the compost bin is reserved for a flat water butt coming soon! The butt will be of course pink!
Top bay radishes are nearly ready for harvesting, this will be the 3rd harvest for the allotment this year the 2nd for this bed.
