February to July 2026

 February 2026 

Take over and planning. . . . What shall we do, to dig or not to dig that's the question? The ground is not the best, bind weed and couch grass everyhere, we need to remove all of this or cover it. Being Febuary the ground is frozon but we still need to get this done.

 

March 2026

Well we have made a mess. Cardboard everywhere this is not going to work and the wind is so strong it takes the cardboard and blows it everythere! So plan B - Start planning for raised beds.

Well the planning is over and the bedds are nearly complete. Broad beans are in and its starting to take shape.

April 2026

Broad beans, Pea's, Cauliflowers and Dhalia's are starting to grow and the new back left beds have been built in the form of a 'W" or 'M' depending on how you look at it. Also we have started to put down weed fabric and bark ships as the ground is uneven and muddy.

May 2026 

Vegetables are growing, Corn has been put in. VERY early but the corn was not doing very well at home so decided to put them in anyway and see what happens. 

June 2026 

Well the corn survived, However as the corn was not doing very well we decided to put corn seeds in to just incase. But "Surprise" the corn lived and so did the seeds and so we have a full bed of corn.

July 2026 

New compost bin is built and back right beds have been built. The Vegetables and flowers are doing quite well. Have have also harvested the Broad beans which are now filling up the 'Freezer'. Pumkins and Tomatoes have also been put in and growing well.
